Based on the 1996 children’s book, Pamela’s First Musical will be directed and staged by Tony Award nominee, Graciela Daniele and will star Donna Murphy as “Aunt Louise”. Los Angeles, CA – February 1, 2008 – Notable Music Publishing is happy to announce that they have entered into a worldwide administration agreement with Ft. Lauderdale Florida and Kingston Jamaica based record producer, record label owner, and music publisher, Sonia Pottinger.

Sonia Pottinger, considered one of the top producers in Jamaican music history, was recently awarded the title of The Honourable Sonia Pottinger OD (Order of Distinction) by the Jamaican Government for her contribution to the Island Nation’s music, arts and culture. Ms. Pottinger is also a recipient of Raggaesoca Music’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ms. Pottinger’s catalog includes her music publishing company, Push Music Jamaica and several successful labels including, Tip Top Records, High Note Records, Gay Feet, and Glory. Ms. Pottinger produced and released a truly impressive string of #1 singles and artists throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s beginning with Joe White’s “Every Night, “My Love For You”, and “Brown Eyes”. Duke Reid, who ran one of the most popular sound systems in Jamaica in the 1950’s called Duke Reid’s The Trojan, formed the Treasure Isle label, which dominated the Jamaican music scene of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Duke Reid as producer and label owner recorded and released some of the most important and influential Ska and Rocksteady records ever released including artists such as: U Roy (“Wake The Town”, “Rule The Nation”, “Wear You To The Ball”), Alton Ellis (“Girl I’ve Got A Date”, “Rocksteady”, “Cry Tough”) , The Paragons (“The Tide is High”), The Melodians (“I’ll Get Along Without You”, “You Don’t Need Me”, “Come On Little Girl”), The Techniques (“How I Wish It Would Rain”), Dennis Alcapone, Phyllis Dillon (“Perfidia”), and the Three Tops (“It’s Raining”).

Ms. Pottinger and Duke Reid’s artist and song roster continues to thrive through numerous live concerts, revival Reggae compilations, film and television placements, and advertising campaigns throughout the world.

Notable Music Publishing and Chrysalis Music Group are happy to announce a worldwide co-publishing agreement with songwriter/producer, Chris Keup. A recipient of ASCAP’s Sammy Cahn Award, Keup has written with and produced such artists as Jason Mraz, Graham Colton, Rachel Yamagata, Johnathan Rice, Missy Higgins, O.A.R., and Amy Correia. Chris’s songs have appreared in such films and tv shows as: The Heartbreak Kid, Love Monkey, Everwood, One Tree Hill, and The OC.
